7 Evidence Based Strategies for Completing the Stress Cycle

In 2020 the popular book ‘Burnout: Solve Your Stress Cycle’ by Emily & Amelia Nagoski was published. One of the key ideas from it was that when the stressor (thing that causes us stress) is gone, we commonly still experience stress in the body. The key thing is to “complete the stress cycle” - i.e. do something that ‘moves stress out of the body’, changes our state or makes us feel more relaxed and safe.
